Refund Policy
This policy explains when OpenDock issues refunds, how refunds are processed for each payment method, and the difference between cancelling a subscription and requesting a refund.
Last updated: September 6, 2026
1. Refund Window
Refund requests are considered case by case and must be made within 7 days of a payment. Whether a refund is granted is at our discretion; we look at each request in good faith, taking into account the circumstances and how much of the Service was used.
- No refunds are given after the 7-day window has passed.
- No refunds are given for partial months or for unused time within a billing period.
2. Cancellation vs. Refund
These are two different things, and it is important to understand the difference:
- Cancellation stops future renewals. You can cancel your subscription at any time from the dashboard, and there is no cancellation fee. Your application keeps running until the end of the period you have already paid for.
- Refund returns money for a payment already made, and is only possible within the 7-day window described above.
If you simply want to stop being billed, cancel — no refund request is needed.
3. How Refunds Are Processed
Refunds are returned through the same rail used to pay:
- bKash payments (BDT): refunded via bKash to the same number that sent the payment. Processing can take up to 3 business days after we approve the request.
- Card payments (USD): refunded through Paddle, which acts as the Merchant of Record for card payments, to the original card used. Refund timing depends on Paddle’s and your card-issuer’s processing timelines, and typically appears within a few business days to a couple of weeks.
4. How to Request a Refund
To request a refund, contact us within 7 days of the payment by:
- Emailing hello@opendock.cloud from your account email, including the transaction ID or the Paddle receipt; or
- Reaching out through the dashboard, where we can see your billing history directly.
For bKash payments, include the transaction ID you submitted so we can locate the payment quickly. We will confirm the decision and next steps by email.
5. If Your Account Was Suspended
If a subscription is left unpaid, the following timeline applies: after a 7-day grace period the application is suspended (stopped, but data preserved), and data is retained for 30 days after suspension with advance email warnings before it is permanently deleted. We never delete data immediately after a failed payment.
Note that these timeline steps are separate from the refund window: an unpaid period is not refunded, and continuing to use the Service after a suspension (by resuming payment) does not make the interrupted period refundable.
6. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page reflects the current version, and material changes will be communicated to customers by email or through the dashboard.
